Like many complex points, it is doubtful that there's one definitive reply. By distinction, many advocates of a more traditional or "again to fundamentals" strategy believe that the path of reform must be the other. Students are not impressed or challenged to realize success due to the dumbing down of the curriculum and the alternative of the "canon" with inferior material. They imagine that self-confidence arises not from eradicating hurdles such as grading, but by making them truthful and inspiring college students to gain satisfaction from understanding they will jump over these hurdles.
